Following Space & Earth last October, the GoodPlanet Foundation is now releasing its latest book, Ma Terre vue de l’espace [“Earth viewed from Space”], in bookshops as of today.
Conscious that education should start as early as possible, this GoodPlanet Foundation book is aimed at children aged 8 and over. In sixteen subject-based chapters, Ma Terre vue de l’espace invites them to browse their way through the aerial photography of Yann Arthus-Bertrand and satellite images from Astrium and Nasa.
As the narrative proceeds, a number of ecological issues emerge which are explored at planetary level and in everyday language. Each chapter is illustrated in an entertaining way and punctuated by key figures and educational anecdotes.
This beautiful book with its fold-outs is an invitation to wonder at our world through its magnificent, dizzying views. But in addition to a journey through the skies and space, its main aim is to stimulate the awareness of the younger generation, who are urged to adopt more responsible behaviour patterns to protect the planet.
