On Thursday February 13, over forty countries took part in a meeting of unprecedented proportions against trafficking in threatened species, ivory and rhinoceros horn. At the initiative of the British Government and Princes Charles and William, the meeting brought together Heads of State, ministers and international organisations, to work towards some solutions aimed at stemming this burgeoning business.
The GoodPlanet Foundation, which is conducting an awareness-raising campaign on this subject under the heading « Wild & Precious » which has already toured France, China, Kenya and other venues in partnership with CITES and UNEP, was represented by a number of posters it had produced.
A new « Wild & Precious » exhibition will be opened at the Geneva Palais des Nations, the European headquarters of the United Nations, on March 3, on the occasion of the first World Wildlife Day.
